Aeternus Power

Solar for business: buy, lease or pay nothing upfront

Energy as a competitive edge.

If your site uses more than about 250,000 kWh a year, your electricity bill is a cost you can decide, not one you have to accept. We originate and structure on-site generation for commercial and industrial operators: lower electricity costs, long-term price certainty and support for your sustainability reporting, with no construction risk on your side.

The economics work hardest where the load is heaviest.

Returns are strongest when annual electricity consumption exceeds roughly 250,000 kWh. The load profile decides the technology: rooftop or ground-mount PV, storage, or a hybrid. We typically work with:

  1. Manufacturing Shift work across metals, plastics, textiles and food. Rooftop solar sized to your daytime use; batteries where your electricity contract makes them pay.
  2. Logistics & cold storage Refrigeration runs around the clock under large flat roofs. Rooftop solar covers the day; batteries carry it into the evening, when power costs most.
  3. Data centres Heavy use, day and night. A rooftop covers only a small part, so the answer is a bigger grid connection, batteries and long-term contracts to buy power from a plant on your site or elsewhere.
  4. Retail chains Many similar sites with predictable daytime use. One programme and one agreement across all your rooftops.
  5. Hotels & institutions Hospitals, universities, hotels. Mostly daytime use that changes with the seasons; solar on rooftops or car parks, with batteries for the air-conditioning peaks.
  6. Agriculture & agri-processing Greenhouses, irrigation, packing, processing. Mostly daytime use with seasonal peaks; solar on the ground or a rooftop, and biogas where you have farm or food waste to feed it.
  7. Ceramics & building materials Kilns that never stop and high, steady use. A strong fit for a large ground-mounted plant and a bigger grid connection.
  8. Chemicals & pharma Processes that never stop and need very stable power. A plant on site covers the steady base, batteries as backup and a long-term power contract for the rest.
  9. Automotive & components Production across several shifts; press and paint lines with sharp spikes in use. Solar across large halls, batteries to cut what those spikes cost.
  10. Water treatment & desalination Pumps and filtration run day and night and rise with demand. Ground-mounted solar plus batteries; your electricity contract decides the mix.

A real study: an agri-food business in Castilla-La Mancha.

Project under study

One of the projects we are working on now, anonymised. It shows what a preview turns into once the engineering starts.

  • System size: about 100 kWp
  • Produced a year: about 155 MWh
  • Used by the site a year: about 224 MWh
  • Of the power, used on site: at least 80%

So the plant would cover more than half of what the site uses in a year: at least 124 MWh of the 224 MWh it buys from the grid today. With a PPA, the business would pay about €0.11 per kWh for that power, against about €0.15 from the grid.

Anonymised and still under study, not yet built. Figures rounded. We do not publish what the plant costs or our fee.

Five steps, from a first look at your site to a plant that runs.

Each step ends with something you can check before the next one starts.

  1. We study the site Your roof or land, how much power you use and when, and what you want to achieve.
  2. We get several prices Several vetted builders price the job, and we find the grants that apply.
  3. You see every number One proposal with the full payback calculation and every cost shown.
  4. We handle the contracts We help you choose the builder and the equipment, and handle the contracts and purchasing.
  5. We oversee the build We manage the work until the plant is switched on, then keep watching what it produces.

How the project gets paid for.

CAPEX purchase

Own the system outright. Best for strong-balance-sheet operators wanting maximum lifetime savings.

PPA

No upfront cost. You pay only for the electricity the plant produces, at a price per kWh set in the contract below what you pay the grid today, with its yearly increase agreed upfront. The bigger the plant, the lower the price. Power the site does not use can be sold to the grid. From 50 kWp.

Hybrid

A blend tailored to your cash flow, tax position, and accounting treatment.

Project finance

SPV and non-recourse structures for larger projects, arranged with our financing partners. For capacity that outgrows a balance sheet.

Four ways to hold the asset.

Upfront cost, ownership, term and fit for each structure. Terms are market-typical ranges; the proposal sets the exact figures for your site.

The assessment is free, and the numbers are yours whether you go ahead or not.

Savings from day one with a PPA: your price per kWh starts below what you pay the grid when you sign, and any yearly increase is in the contract. In one of our current projects: about €0.11 per kWh instead of €0.15.
